Classically Trained Piano Teacher
I began playing piano at the age of 5, and attended a private music school in Korea, followed by private lessons from a Busan University Professor, also at a young age. I achieved a proficiency level equivalent to Grade 10 - Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM), as demonstrated through annual public recitals.

Education & Experience
I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Studies in Korea, during which I also took numerous classical music courses at university. I taught private piano lessons from beginners to advanced level throughout my university years. After graduating with my degree, I taught piano at the Mozart Music School in Korea until I moved to Canada.
I have taught at both the Ottawa and Kanata Music Academies for several years.
Currently, I teach piano at two home-based locations in Nepean and work for the Ottawa Carleton District School Board in the kindergarten program as a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE).

What I Teach
I teach beginner, intermediate and advanced piano levels, including preparing my students for RCM examinations. For students who would like to take RCM exams, I teach all of the necessary prerequisites. As a piano instructor, combined with my RECE experience, I know how to make piano lessons fun and I use creative ways to teach piano, especially for young children.
